Taste and See
~ Psalm 34:8 ~ Showing Christ’s love by providing meals for those in our church family who are grieving the loss of a loved one, celebrating a newborn baby, suffering an illness, or in a situation that has affected the routine of the home. “Share with God’s people who are in need … Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” Romans 12:13, 15
WHO CAN MINISTER? Anyone who likes to cook and desires to bless families in a situation that has affected the routine of the home ~ you are encouraged to join in this rewarding ministry.
HOW IT WORKS: As a need arises, fresh or frozen meals, provided by volunteers, will be delivered to the home for up to three days, or for a longer period of time, depending on the circumstance. The commitment for providing meals may vary. You may be asked to cook anywhere from two to five meals a year. Sunday school classes or other small groups already providing assistance will affect the amount of meals needed.
Volunteer: Call Chris Schoenhals (419.445.5930) and she will add you to the rotating list of those willing to prepare a meal. You will be notified by phone when meal assistance is needed.
THEN: Prepare a meal for the day you are assigned, then deliver meal or ask to have the meal delivered for you. It can be store bought, homemade, frozen or just about anything!
